For the love of music

I love live music and travel often to listen to as many new musicians as I can. But over the years, I have had too many experiences of not being able to enjoy the show due to conditions out of my control and definitely out of the musician's control.  Many venues are just not very conducive to actually listening to the music.  Sometimes people like to talk (or shout) too loudly during shows, making it difficult to hear the music.  Other times, there may be a pool table, after work gatherings, bachelorette parties, or drinking games in the same room as the music.  And skee-ball machines-  do you know how loud they can be?  Now, I am not advocating against these things.  All I am saying is that, in my experience, this is often what you get in public places.  And that paying money to try to support bands and then not being able to hear the music is a bit frustrating. Does anybody else feel frustrated by this?

But no worries- that is why Gravel Road Concerts was started.

These concerts are the most fun ever. Feels like my own personal concert with each performer. The interaction between the musician and the audience is so much fun. Usually, to hear a concert of this talent, one would have to pay $80+. Here we pay minimal, no overhead for the musician so all goes to him/her, and we sit in comfort with great food too! Also, being senior citizens, we appreciate that concerts start no later than 7 p.m. and we are usually home by 10:00. This is HUGE!. thank you Steve & Dani for these wonderful opportunities.
